BEAR is a unique 501 (c) (3) public/private partnership, so all donations go directly to the children involved with CPS. Harris County Protective Services for Children and Adults and The Department of Family and Protective Services provide salaries for all BEAR staff.

Many children that we serve have very few belongings or nothing at all. These donations and items give them the ability to go into their new foster/kinship home with their own toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, crayons, toys, a special blanket and stuffed animal of their own.
